Seth MacFarlane, the man (and voice) behind Family Guy, is making his second foray into feature films with this summer’s A Million Ways to Die in the West. As if the title wasn’t a dead giveaway, the film is set in The Wild West where, as you may also have guessed, it’s easy to find a tumultuous end.

MacFarlane stars as a sheepish sheep farmer who is challenged by a gunslinger (Liam Neeson) to a duel. When he backs out, his girlfriend (Amanda Seyfried) leaves him for another man. Suddenly, a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) joins the community and helps MacFarlane’s character overcome his fright. In the process, they fall in love, to the chagrin of her husband, the gunslinger. Along the way, many of the town’s inhabitants face death out of every small thing, from splinters to malfunctioning cameras.

If you’re not into MacFarlane’s very particular brand of humor, chances are A Million Ways to Die in the West won’t sway you. However, there are some highlights in the trailer, including the “Mila Kunis, Mila Kunis” line. If A Million Ways to Die in the West tickles your fancy, you can check out the eight recently-released character posters for the film below, including some looks at Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Silverman.
