A lot of people have been talking about Hip Hop or the lack thereof at this year’s Lollapalooza festival. Cypress Hill is the genre’s biggest act, and Jim Derogatis is not impressed. The Chicago Sun-Times Music critic, as well as radio host had this to say about The Hill.
“Noticeably short on hip-hop in 2010, it’s all the more surprising that the highest-placed act from that genre on the bill is one that was never very good in concert even when it was in its prime, and that prime is now a decade and a half in the past.”
Ouch. I’m actually excited to see Cypress live, but hey, you can’t win them all.
