Tree is an MC and producer that has really impressed me lately. He’s sometimes overlooked because of all the other waves happening in Chicago right now, but his Soul Trap style is really dope, and serves as a bridge between that golden era aesthetic and the new styles of Hip Hop emerging in 2012. Earlier this week he sent over a new record in the form of “I’m Ya Man” featuring Chris Crack. It was lost in my email box until today, and man, I wish I found it sooner.
