In a new interview with VIBE, Twista said that he had aspirations to join Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label a few years ago, and hoped to release Category F5 with Kanye’s imprint.
“I actually wanted to [sign] at one point, Twista recalls of Kanye’s 2008 Graduation era. “But I don’t know what time of vibe Kanye had with me at that time.”The 36-year-old lyricist continues, “I mentioned that I would be getting out of my [Atlantic Records] contract and wondered if he wanted to jump down. But I don’t know, I guess it wasn’t a good idea for him at the time. He should’ve done it. He would’ve had ‘Wetter’ [Laughs].”
I think that move would’ve made sense back in 2004 circa College Dropout and “Slow Jamz”, but yeah, I don’t exactly see Twista rocking the skinny suits.
