Quelle Chris released his LP, Shotgun & Sleek Rifle, yesterday. The Detroit to Chicago to Oakland emcee is amongst the new class of emcees that just hopped on my radar and seems to have gotten comfortable. Over Househoes’ soulful, yet eerie production, Chris and Roc Marciano draw parallels between the past and future, and breaking chains whether literal such as slavery, or those in present times that are harder to see.
