Amanda Diva

“Everybody talks about Beat Street, but the real heads know about Style Wars.”

Amanda Diva released her latest project, Madame Monochrome, last week.  She said the project was inspired by a trip to Paris where she felt reinvigorated and re-inspired to create.  That burst of new energy is a running theme through “Catch Me”, a song in which Diva sings and raps about a fear of falling out of love with Hip Hop, a music and culture that she fell in love with during her freshman year of college.  The video has a wonderfully organic feel.  It was filmed in her NYC apartment, and also features Diva giving listeners a tour through her record collection, pictures, and posters.  Watch it below.
