“Everybody talks about Beat Street, but the real heads know about Style Wars.”
Amanda Diva released her latest project, Madame Monochrome, last week. She said the project was inspired by a trip to Paris where she felt reinvigorated and re-inspired to create. That burst of new energy is a running theme through “Catch Me”, a song in which Diva sings and raps about a fear of falling out of love with Hip Hop, a music and culture that she fell in love with during her freshman year of college. The video has a wonderfully organic feel. It was filmed in her NYC apartment, and also features Diva giving listeners a tour through her record collection, pictures, and posters. Watch it below.
