Benny Nice is an emcee and musician from Chicago, also a fellow graduate of Indiana University. If his profile is correct, he also went to school in my hood of Hyde Park, but unfortunately, attended Lab School. I won’t hold it against him though, as “Talk About Your Feelings” is so good, I’m willing to overlook the transgression (shots fired, Lab school. Shots fired).
Anyway, Benny makes music as part of the band Jip Jop, who is a favorite amongst my Columbia College students. He goes for dolo though on his new mixtape, Fuck You Benny, which is carried by this fun and funky cut, “Talk About Your Feelings” featuring Young Duck. The video is pretty dope too, bringing the song to life. Peep it below.
