I come from the school of thought that says Blu and Exile should make music exclusively as Blu & Exile. They’ve both made great music in each-other’s absence but it never sounded as organic. Despite his new found notoriety, Blu post Below The Heavens didn’t sound quite as confident as he did on their debut. Once he hopped on Give Me Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them he seamed to regain his easy going bravado. Exile’s beats simply sound tailored for Blu’s lax melodic delivery. They’ve claimed to distain each-other while loving one another’s artistic expressions. Can’t they just stay together for the sake of the kids? I know Aloe Blacc agrees.
