Just going by the credits, this song should be awesome. Rick Ross and Kanye West are arguably the two most checked for rappers right now, and Hit-Boy is at the top of the producer’s versions. The video is directed by Hype Williams, so I’m thinking grand slam right now. Am I the only one a little underwhelmed by this? With everything Kanye has been spitting lately (even “Way Too Cold”, which plays right after “I Wish You Would”), his verse on this seems a little mailed in or like he’s saving the best for his own material. It’s not a bad record, but for how good these dudes are, it’s a little below expectations. Let me know if I’m wrong.
