In an upcoming movie titled “Downloaded” the brains of Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker changed the future of the music industry forever, after releasing the file-sharing service, Napster. Film-maker Alex Winter has created a documentary telling the story of Fanning and Parker’s historical battle with the Recording Industry Association of America. Featuring the infamous duo, the documentary not only focuses on how Napster revolutionized music, but also the failures of record companies in keeping up with peer-to-peer sharing, by fighting the idea instead of embracing it.
