It might not come as a surprise to many that the artist known as Dream Koala is a bit different from most. Born in Paris to Brazilian parents, Yndi Ferreira was bound to have a diverse pallet from which to cull his personal musical stylings. Having remixed tracks for Angel Haze and The 1975, Ferreira stepped onto the music scene at large last year, exposing himself to the world as Dream Koala. On September 23, the 18-year-old producer released his debut project, Odyssey, for which the debut song gets a video today. Describing his musical flare, Ferreira says: “I want to have my own genre by mixing all my influences together,” Yndi explains. “To me, everything is connected – be it the genius of Flying Lotus or the ethereal beauty of My Bloody Valentine.” Check out the video below.
