Chicago is full of new talent right now, and especially with Columbia College in the heart of downtown. While I was teaching class today, one of my students brought up their class mate and emcee Gino Haze and his latest video for “When You Call”, produced by C-Sick. The song starts out with Gino Haze’s chopped and screwed adlibs and just takes off from there. I dig the concept as well, as Gino is hitting mute on the doubters, snakes, and hangers-on. This is off Gino’s new mixtape, Confident, which was released the 28th. Watch the video and peep the mixtape below.
