Finally a song about the lack of reading amongst young people, and ll it took was for magazines and newspapers to crumble, Borders to almost completely shut down, and 5 Fast Furious movies… Chicago’s Gyasi Kamau tackles the subject in “The Reader”, a new spoken word/rap song hybrid and accompanying video that opens with “it’s crazy to believe that we as people, don’t like reading books.” That is crazy and it’s good to know that some youngerster, such as Gyasi are out there.
