We told you back in May that Lupe Fiasco shot a video for “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)”.  The song, which is the first single from Lupe’s forthcoming LP Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 1,  drew a lot of attention after Pete Rock spoke out against Lupe sampling his classic “T.R.O.Y.”.  I think that the Pete Rock situation took away from the actual song, which I feel got a bad rap (no pun intended).  Lupe’s message on the record and his lyrical dexterity are exactly what Lupe fans want, and is pretty dope.  The video was shot in Chicago by Alex Nazari and features a cameo from LEP and some cartoon cats.  Watch it below. Lupe’s new album drops September 25th.
