Phife and Michael Rapaport

Michael Rapaport and Phife Dawg sat down with Attack of The Show on G4 last night during the NBA Draft to discuss the upcoming documentary, “Beats, Rhymes, and Life: The Story of A Tribe Called Quest”.  Phife has been the only member of ATCQ to stay on Rapaport’s side as Tip and Ali Shaheed-Muhammad have both criticized Rapaport and the film’s producers for portraying ATCQ in a negative light.  If you’ve seen the movie, which I have due to random leak last week, it’s easy to reason why Phife has continued to have Rapaport’s back.  If it were up to him, ATCQ would still be together, whereas Q-Tip and Ali have both moved on and continued to make strides in music on the solo side.  As the film shows, Phife got the short end of the stick in a way (no pun intended).  In the clip below, they both talk about the “handle-with-care” fashion that ATCQ’s story had to be told.
