This music video was shot for the Sweat Records Rachel Goodrich Music Video Contest, in which director Lucas Leyva took visuals of poverty stricken, gang-labeled Miami to match with the joyous-folk ballad that is “Light-Bulb” by Rachel Goodrich. Definitely a funny video to watch, and ended up winning the contest as well as the Miami New Times award for best local video. Hit the jump for the visuals

By highlighting the ugly stereotypes of popular “hood culture” that denigrates the youth, we are metaphysically witnessing the cause (the video itself) and effect (corrupted children); the action (lifestyle of the children) and the reaction (Rachel’s song).
