We’re doubling up on Fresh Perspectives today… Boo-ya! After introducing you to chef Craig Thornton, and paper sculptor Jeff Nishinaka, we have fashion designer Robert James. James is originally from rural Ohio, and made the move to NYC to launch his clothing line, By Robert James. The clothes are inspired by James’ humble beginnings as well as historical style ranging from the gun slingers of the 1860’s to pop culture of the 1960’s. James bridges the gap between his working class background and the higher end fashion world, creating fresh pieces, and yes, a fresh perspective.
For his part in the project, James created a new tee as well as a jacket, sticking to the themes of “escape” and “challenge”. Watch his videos below. And look for more from Robert James on RH very soon.
On April 18th Microsoft and Lexus will reveal all the creations via their custom Fresh Perspectives website.
