Drawing influence from early 90’s Hip Hop by the likes of Nas, ATCQ, Digable Planets, and Mos Def, we have Milwaukee’s Vonny Del Fresco. Del Fresco is 18, and much like some of Chicago’s young guns, the Wisconsin native heavily leans on the style and aesthetics of Hip Hop’s Golden Era to craft his songs. Case in point is his take on A Tribe Called Quest’s classic “Sucka N***a”, which was released in 1993 via Tribe’s LP, Midnight Marauders. Del Fresco keeps the theme, showing that there really is sucka born every minute, while also giving listeners a glimpse of himself. Watch the video below.
