A band that plays masa-ball together, stays together. Case in point is Chicago funk band, whysowhite. The seven piece crew has been building their profile in the windy city with a string of strong performances. Most recently, whysowhite hit the stage at Martyr’s on May 26th, and allowed Aykid Shots to document the action as part of his 14:400 series. Beyond their gig, whysowhite let the cameras follow them through grocery shopping, a game of masa-ball (a variation of hacky-sack they made up), and more. Watch the 10-minute clip below. The band’s debut album is expected to drop in late summer/early fall.
