With the much deserved success following the release of Nicole Richie’s first designer jewelry line House of Harlow 1960, she hasn’t stepped away from the drawing board but rather gone ahead and launched a full collection of apparel and footwear, Winter Kate. Following the vintage chic patterns found in the House of Harlow model, the new line is made up of dresses, blouses, tunics, vests, jackets and tops that are “inspired by timeless prints and shapes, beautiful paisley and florals that have been vintage washed and some have been over-dyed for that classic feel”.
Nicole Richie has become a staple in Hollywood trendsetters, her style is effortless, she is able to make retro appear modern. With that, the collection varies from modest short-shorts to a barely there slip dress. Every piece is delicate and feminine but not pretentious, which is important when trying to put together an outfit that you wear, not vise versa.
“Spring 2010 will also see the launch of House of Harlow 1960’s premiere shoe collection. The shoes range from rich skins to a more playful, bohemian collection of moccasins and sandals. There is great attention to detail and beautiful embellishments (bright beads, soft peacock feathers). The collection features sandals, wedges, platforms and high heels.”
The collection will be available globally beginning February 2010.
