Yacht will release their 5th album on June 21st via DFA Records. The album is titled Shangri-La and focuses on the band’s idea of utopia, which leans heavily on community and is really a state of mind. The LP’s first release is a giveaway track entitled “Dystopia (The Earth Is On Fire)”, in which the earth is burning and the daughter-less duo are prepared to let the motherf**ker burn. The mainpoint is that the future is a blank slate, and with chaos comes opportunity. Listen to and grab the new song below.
