Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) kicks off a new remix series (Top 40 Underdog) with his take on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N***as In Paris”. Yasiin raps from the complete opposite perspective, taking the mindset of the poor in America. This is classic Mos, who has an excellent track record of remaking hit records into politically and socioeconomically charged anthems. He hits the nail on the head with this one.
