Here are two new and informative looks at Yelawolf. Last week saw the major label release of Trunk Muzik 0-60, a beefed up version of his 2009 mixtape that really launched his career. First we have Yelawolf’s interview with DJ Hyphen at his Sound Session show out in Seattle. Hyphen talks to Yelawolf about his experiences living on the streets of Seattle, working odd jobs, and more.
The second clip comes courtesy of Yourstru.ly, who profiles Yelawolf’s transition from living as a homeless skater in Berkley, CA to an up and coming artist on a major label. They take Yelawolf to Peoples Park where he often slept, into the studio where he lays down a stripped down version of “Pop The Trunk” (DJ Artime on the keys).
