Wale: Ambitious Girl

http://rubyhornet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/wale_more.jpg

I was a huge fan of Wale's Mixtape About Nothing he dropped last year but slowly fell off the boat and did not see Attention: Deficit as strong as others have thought. "Ambitious Girl" feels more like an interlude, but I'm sure Wale's got bars ready for More About Nothing dropping August 3rd.

The Chemical Brothers: "Another World" Video

http://rubyhornet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/chem_bros.jpg

The Chemical Brothers are without a doubt one of my favorite electronic outfits in the game, and they strike with this video for "Another World" off of their new LP Further in stores now. The video reminds me of an EKG Machine and it meshes well with the vocally soothing, downtempo vibe of the track. The Brothers who are known for incredible live performances with be stopping through the Chi this September. If you are an avid fan of their music I'll see your at North Coast Music Festival, which also features: Lupe Fiasco, Nas & Damian Marley, De La Soul, Flying Lotus, Jay Electronica, Green Velvet and much more.

"Reporter: Are you going to run home now? It's almost 3 AM... Questlove: Um...I'm gonna run to the studio."

The busiest band in the game is also the house band for Jimmy Fallon as you all know. NYT, took time to do a 5-min segment on The Legendary Roots Crew speaking on their chemistry and longevity it is evident these guys love their jobs so much they haven't stop working since they first signed with DGC in the early 90's. There is a reason i've seen these guys over 10 times, and the answer lies in the quote above.

Kanye Raps For Facebook and Hits Twitter

Kanye West

Kanye debuted some new material at Facebook headquarters in San Francisco, CA.  The material was caught via camera and hit youtube last night.  We have it for you below.  In addition, Kanye launched a Twitter account and revealed that he will not be calling the album Good Ass Job.  He wrote: "The album is no longer called "Good Ass Job" I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now."

RTC Edit: A few weeks ago it was said that the album would be dropping September 14th.  That is definitely not the case.  One of my sources has said that there is no date at this time, and we won't see it til at least November.

Bun B

Bun promised earlier this week that if he reached 20,000 Twitter followers he would leak a song off Trill OG, and he stays true to his word with "Put It Down" featuring Drake. I expected this song to be one of the best off of the album and I have to say that it lived up to my expectations. Check it out and download it below. Trill OG is scheduled to be in stores starting August 3rd.  Download the track here.

FYI, the Best Buy version of Trill OG will also feature a bonus cut featuring GLC.
