Weezer's New Album Cover
I was pretty surprised when I first saw the new album art for their upcoming album. Now it's your turn to be surprised. The album, entitled Hurley, has the mug of actor Jorge Garcia on the cover. Garcia played the goofy and likeable Hurley on ABC's Lost. When asked about the cover, Rivers Cuomo replied, "We just wanted to use that picture of Jorge Garcia's face on the cover. It's such an amazing album cover, and we didn't want to have any other words on it, so we just figured everyone was going to call it Hurley, so that's what we call it." The album is due out September 14 on Epitaph.

Mikkey Halsted: "First Class" (prod by Prolyfic)
Mikkey Halsted returns to RubyHornet with "First Class", a ridiculously hard joint that may or may not be on his forthcoming Dark Room EP. What I do know is that DJ Sean Mac dropped the song as part of his new mixtape The Mac Chronicles: Vol. 1. It is fire. Grab it below.
Mexicans With Guns: "Dame Lo" Video
San Antonio's Mexicans with Guns is quite a mysterious figure. His bio (yes, singular) states that previous to experiencing musical success and linking up with folks such as Mad Decent, Mexicans with Guns was slinging fruit cups from the back of his El Camino... That's definitely an upgrade (no Beyonce). Today we have the official video for Mexicans with Guns' song, "Dame Lo", which I think has heavy doses of both Mexicans and guns, but I'm not one to assume ethnicity through viral videos. There are a lot of guns though... See it below.

The Perfect Formula: "Higher"
The Perfect Formula consists of RubyHornet alum, Marion Write alongside his producer/DJ, DJ Finyl. Somehow the duo snuck a full EP passed me, and with its August 16th release date right around the corner they give us "Higher", which also features fellow Flo Deep recording artist, Nique. "Higher" is a soulful tune that when paired with the right listening accessories lives up perfectly up to the title. Grab it below.
Yonas: "Y'all Know"
"I keep it honest just like everybody should, Just let me in your heart and I shall be in there for good."
The young, NYC-based rapper is pleading for a chance. Yonas delivers a lyrical resumè on a more a pop/mainstream sounding track . Sean Devine creates a synth and brass track that is not too complex and compliments Yonas' hook to make a for a catchy tune. Yonas has an untitled project due out sometime this fall. Make the jump to check out the track.
