Chuuwee Stuck In 92

Arguably my favorite new West Coast MC, Chuuwee has never disappointed me after I click play. The Sac-Town MC consistently switches it up. His beat selection is not streamlined, he has worked with Lee Bannon, Cookin’ Soul, among others and here Beats For Clothes. His styles range from utterly serious, I.E. “Slow Down” to more playful music, like the Spongebob themed “Bikini Bottom“. Now he takes us back nearly 2 decades in an impeccable produced throwback. The soulful horns lend Chuuwee’s hook credence as you are transported to a time long ago. More over it shows how the West Coast has a storied history but has been a place where all music was celebrated. I really can’t say more about this track other than it’s one that is ‘classic‘ Chuuwee and really deserves a listen. Check it out after the jump and if you want to learn more about the young MC, check out our First Look.
