Famed, innovative, and accomplished designer, Alexander McQueen, was found dead this morning at the age of 40. The New York Times is reporting that the designer was found in his London apartment, and believe the cause of death to be suicide. McQueen’s impact on the fashion world was large and wide-reaching. He was known for his elaborate and envelope pushing runway shows as well as new take on fashion. Admittedly, my experience with McQueen is limited, and I first really noticed his work since joining RH and reading articles written by our fashion writers. We’ll have a full feature coming soon on McQueen. For more info on his death check out the NYT article, and I also found this cool piece by The Guardian in which they look at McQueen’s life through photographs (see it here).
