Reks is getting ready to release a new LP next month. The album is called Rebelutionary, and is produced entirely by Numonics, who has been humbly building a strong catalog over the last several years. Both of these dudes are about to start upping fees if the rest of the music matches the fullness of the LP’s new single, “Shotgun”, which features Jon Connor and Venessa Renee. The song sounds like a hot day out of “Do The Right Thing” as Reks and Connor play hood griot, speaking on daily frustrations and ultimately, the resolve that keeps them on the up and up. Somebody get ‘Da Mayor.
