Chance The Rapper

“Hocus pocus how’s that for a smoke trick, couldn’t pay attention, now I can afford Focus.”

Chance The Rapper has been touring consistently since the release of #10Day, making it no coincidence that aside from a WGCI premiere of his new song, “YOLO”, Chance has released very little music after dropping his debut mixtape.  In between tour dates with Childish Gambino, Chance has been in the studio lately with producers such as Stefan Ponce and Thelonious Martin.  Chance has also been “passing adderol and adjectives” with The Odd Couple, a Chicago production team that has been ill for a minute and is about to release their new mixtape, Separated At Birth (tomorrow at noon).  The mixtape features Chance, Emilio Rojas, Skyzoo, Mikkey Halsted, Smoke Dza and a slew of others.  It’s Freeway and Hassani Kwess who join Chance on “Burn This City”, featured below.  While we’ll need to wait until tomorrow afternoon for the full version to hear all three emcees, Chance’s verse stands awfully strong alone.  Listen and grab it below.
