[Video] Quelle Chris: "We Eat It" (feat. Cavalier)

Quelle-Chris-RatShit-1

Mellow Music Group crooner Quelle Chris is joined by Caviler on his newest visual for "We Eat It" off of the upcoming Niggas Is Men project. The track features a Lazy saxaphone sample that combines with off kilter drums and spreads a message of foul foods and their role in our culture. "Just feed the poison to the rats"  is the poignant  echo during the songs chorus and we are left wondering if this is a subliminal shot at the FDA and cash crop companies like Monsanto a.k.a Monsatan.

[Video] GLC: "Leavin' Feelins Hurt"

glc-imflashy

Half preacher, half player GLC is the embodiment of the Chicago Southside. If I was ever blue about a chick I knew I could always look to uncle GLC for a few words of advice, that whole "there are plenty of fish in the sea" adage never seemed to heal a sore heart, but his music has always given me perspective on relationships and it's helped. Here's a few words from uncle Harris:

"A-lot of lames be out here with there feelings hurt do to the fact of a lack of game! This is my latest video from my Silence of The Lames project. Shout out to Me Me x Mari & Bianca for there cameos along with some true Chicago Players!"

Raekwon: "Whatever Baby" (feat. JD Era)

95b386e0

Raekwon and JD get loose for 90 seconds of what could be a joint on his next project F.I.L.A, slated to drop some time in June. The joint starts out with JD taking a few notes out of Treach from Naughty By Nature's book, then Rae goes in with his usual smooth chinchilla flow leaving you with plenty of negative space to enjoy Roadsart's string laced beat. The "whatever" sample is still a mystery but there are talks that it could be Maxwell. Enjoy below.

[Video] Blu & Exile: "Ease Your Mind" (feat. Andy Allo)

blu-exile

I come from the school of thought that says Blu and Exile should make music exclusively as Blu & Exile. They've both made great music in each-other's absence but it never sounded as organic. Despite his new found notoriety, Blu post Below The Heavens didn't sound quite  as confident as he did on their debut. Once he hopped on Give Me Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them he seamed to regain his easy going bravado. Exile's beats simply sound tailored for Blu's lax melodic delivery. They've claimed to distain each-other while loving one another's artistic expressions. Can't they just stay together for the sake of the kids? I know Aloe Blacc agrees.

Frank Leone: "Fuck That" (feat. Probcause)

Fuck That

Frank Leone links with the homie Probcause and they both proceed to go in over a Dr. La Flow joint. Frank's avant grade flow and occasional octave changes gets balanced by Prob's smooth delivery, it all blends quite nicely with the sparse breaks and random horn changes. I definitely cosign on this unique collab.
