[Short Film] We Forget Everything

http://vimeo.com/68118048

Mumbai based photographer Martin Prihoda created a short film We Forget Everything that pays tribute to photography. The film takes you back to the good old days of film photography when we didn't have digital cameras. It also helps show Martin's love for photography and his home of Mumbai. He had previously made his home in Vancouver, but one day decided to see what he was made of and left his comfort zone. He put his trust in his photography skills and moved to Mumbai to pursue is passion. There's something about the film that reminds us to slow down and enjoy what life is all about, to simply got out and do what you're passionate of, no matter what it is.

Let's take the time to wish Adriana Lima Happy Birthday

Earlier this week, we wished Kate Upton a Happy Birthday, and since we didn't want to leave Adriana Lima left out, we decided to dedicate a post to her on her special day. Today, one of our favorite Victoria's Secret models turns 32... if you can believe that. She's graced the cover of almost every major magazine cover there is, from Vogue to GQ to Esquire and countless others. The Brazilian model definitely is getting better with age and isn't showing signs of slowing down. Check out some of our favorite shots of Adriana from her countless shoots below.

HDR Photographs of an Airplane Cockpit from the Camera of Pilot Photographer

Being able to take photographs from a bird's eye view is freaking awesome. I was able to take photos of Chicago from a Cessna 172 airplane armed with only my iPhone and a disposable camera. But pilot Karim Nafatni takes it to a whole other level by taking photos from his Nikon D3000s in the cockpit of jet airliners. A typical day at the office for him is spent flying people to their destinations while snapping photos from his camera in the back of the cockpit. The end result comes in the form of awesome HDR photos and a glimpse of what Karim experiences everyday. Check out the photos below and for more visit PetaPixel here.

Photographing the Earth from the Cupola

Imagine being able to travel into space; now imagine being able to photograph the Earth while you're orbiting the planet you call home. I don't know about you, but that's something that would be pretty awesome to experience. This is exactly what the astronauts aboard the International Space Station "The Cupola module" do. The Cupola name means" dome" in Italian, and because of its dome appearance, the astronauts are able to capture incredible photos of Earth. Judging by the 31-inch windows, it's easy to see why a large number of photos of earth are taken aboard the Cupola. Enjoy the photos below and check out PetaPixel for more.

Leica X Vario Camera

Lovers of cameras should be excited to know that Leica has finally dropped their new camera. Previously called the Leica "Mini M," the compact camera was officially unveiled today as the "Leica X Vario" by the German brand. Not only does it look great cosmetically, it also comes with some great features that should satisfy photographers worldwide. It comes with a Vario lens with an equivalent zone range covering 28 to 70mm along with a 16mp APS-C sensor, as well as full HD recording with 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. The price range is roughly over $2,000. It might seem steep, but you have to be willing to pay for a high quality camera. It also comes with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, which should help justify the price tag. From more info regarding camera specifics, check out Leica's official website here.

Portion Control: New Photos of Tiny People Living in a World of Food

When I came across these photos, the first thing that popped in my head was the movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. Imagine living in a world where you're the size of an insect and the food is gigantic. Fine photographer Christopher Boffoli created such a world with his new series, Big Appetites, where he imagines a world of tiny people living in a world of giant food. His new exhibit, titled Portion Control, is now open at Winston Wachter Fine Art in NY. Check out the rest of the photos below, then check Christopher Boffoli's previous work here.

Behind The Scenes Photos of Iconic Films

The reason why we love movies is that they give us an escape from everyday life. Film has a way of creating things that we could only imagine. We can travel through time in a Delorean, visit a planet ruled by apes, fight with lightsabers, and witness the destruction of a city by a huge lizard-type creature. When it comes to film, the possibilities are endless, so let's take a behind scenes look at some our favorite iconic movies.

Many of us know her from the infamous Cat Daddy video with photographer Terry Richardson, to the covers of Sports Illustrated and GQ. Kate has been hard at work since her first shoot with Venus Swimwear, and it doesn't look like she's slowing down anytime soon, as she is now taking a stab at acting in the upcoming movie The Other Woman. In honer of her birthday, we thought we would share some shots from some of our favorite shoots.
