Ellie Goulding & Xaphoon Jones: "High For This" (The Weeknd Cover)
One thing I can safely say is that The Weeknd was higher than Ellie Goulding when creating the original "High For This". It doesn't matter too much though, as Goulding has linked up with Xaphoon Jones for a dope cover of The Weeknd's "High For This". Xaphoon's production is less haunting than the original's, but complimentes Goulding's voice very well. Listen to the rework below.

Wiz comes through with the first video off of his Taylor Allderdice album, this one directed by Bill Paladino. "The Grinder" is all about Wiz's struggles coming up and what it is like moving through the grinder that is the music industry today, as well as referencing his favorite herb. Luckily Wiz has made it out ok, even rediscovering his style after what some call selling out with his debut album Rolling Papers. Watch below and download Taylor Allderdice if you haven't yet.

Boldy James Signs to Decon Records
Independent Hip Hop label Decon Records has signed Boldy James for a one album deal. The project is still untitled, but we do know that it will be entirely produced by Alchemist. Its always dope to see an artist's grind pay off, especially a Midwest representer. Look for more details on the Boldy-Alchemist collab as soon as they emerge.
Cocaine 80s: "Motivation"
Cocaine 80s dropped this latest track via their tumblr earlier, and damn is it smooth. Not only does Common kill his verse, No ID destroys the production and the vocals are on point. The track about a hard life and moving in the right direction is from their Express OG EP. Listen and DL below.

Smoke DZA: "Ashtray" featuring ScHoolboy Q & Domo Genesis
Smokers unite yet again for the aptly titled "Ashtray", off of Smoke DZA upcoming Rugby Thompson project. Fellow Harlem native Harry Fraud produced the entirety of the project, sampling 2Chainz for "Ashtray". With a banging baseline, Domo Genesis and ScHoolboy Q do their part to elevate this stoner anthem to another level. Stream below and preorder Rugby Thompson through High Times Magazine's music arm.
Dom Kennedy: "My Type Of Party" (Prod. DJ Dahi)
With the Yellow Album dropping in the near future, Dom Kennedy drops off the first single from the project, entitled "My Type Of Party". I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for some new Dom Kennedy, and receiving this track before Memorial Day weekend is a great gift, especially when it sounds this damn good. "My Type Of Party" is produced by DJ Dahi and reflects the fact that Dom can work with any type of production; the down-tempo beat meshes extremely well with Dom's relaxed flow. Make sure to listen and download below.
I'm tryna go to Dom's type of party, he does a really good job of making it sound like a great time.

I've been listening to this track for a while now, under the title "Traphouse Alchemy" as opposed to its current incarnation as "Labratory", either title works as the two go in. The Savemoney effort is produced by Jonwayne and features the dynamic duo of Kami de Chukwu & Preston San. If you're a fan of Chicago Hip Hop, you know Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa, however Savemoney has more than two members. As the summer continues, we'll continue to hear more and acquainted with the rest of the crew's members.
