Nunca Duerma: "Bump in the Trunk (Bone Thugs -n- Harmony Remix)"

(Header art by Annalise Freytag)

Last week, we posted the remix of Impolite Society's "Look of Hate" that was produced by Nunca Duerma. Today, we're dropping the Kimball House Production artist's remix of Bone Thugs -n- Harmony's "Bump in the Trunk." Nunca Duerma takes the classic and turns it into a booty-bumping electronic remix. Ladies with junk in the trunk are definitely gonna be bumping their trunks once they listen to the remix below.

[Video] Taylor Bennett: "Speed Racer"

Not one to let big brother Chance the Rapper get all the shine, Taylor Bennett came out the gate ready to show the world what he's about. A few months after he dropped "God's Children," Taylor's back at it with a video for his latest, "Speed Racer." Directed by TheloVism and produced by Sami Adbullahi, the video starts with Taylor rapping in super speed, fitting in with the song's title. The tempo normalizes, but the young MC still drops bars at a high clip. Expect more from Taylor Bennett, especially with The Taylor Bennett Show set to drop later this year.

You can watch the video below; you can also download the song here.

[Trailer] Anchorman: The Legend Continues

http://youtu.be/mZ-JX-7B3uM

I'm honestly not the biggest Will Ferrell fan. He's stolen a few laughs from me over the years, but overall, I'm not really into his cheesy brand of comedy. With that said, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was legitimately funny. Sure, it followed the basic gimmicky premise of all of Ferrell's films where he portrays an outlandish character, but everything from the writing to the supporting cast clicked. Imagine my excitement when Ferrell officially announced the sequel, Anchorman: The Legend Continues, back in December.

Below is the latest teaser trailer for Anchorman 2. It doesn't feature any footage from the film, but reacquaints audiences with Ron Burgundy (Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner), and fan favorite Brick Tamland (Steve Carrell). With news that "Yeezus" himself Kanye West is set to make a cameo in a film already full of characters, you already know Anchorman: The Legend Continues will be a hit. The film will be in theaters December 20th.

Ruby Hornet's The Weekly Swarm

The Weekly Swarm: 5/13 - 5/19

It was a pretty huge week for Ruby Hornet. We had a lot of notable drops, including Tree's Sunday School 2, Grade Aplus' "Nate Robinson," Calez' G-Unit Bundle Pack, Pyyramids' performance of "Paper Doll" live on Jay Leno, and the made-for-summer jam, "Good Vibes" by Netherfriends featuring ShowYouSuck and ELEEX from Impolite Society. In movie news, there's the possibility of Christopher Nolan directing Bond 24, the new trailer for V/H/S/2, and special closed-captioning glasses for the hearing impaired coming to theaters, amongst other awesome stuff that happened last week.

If you weren't around or missed them as they happened, everything we posted this past week is linked below for your convenience.

The Bruce Lee Legacy Collection Available for Pre-Order

I know we have at least a few Bruce Lee fans reading Ruby Hornet; I can name at least one person with a jumpsuit similar to the one Lee wears in Game of Death. I hope that person and all Jeet Kune Do fans out there get their wallets ready, because Shout! Factory, the people behind the amazing Freaks and Geeks DVD collection, are preparing a DVD and Blu-Ray collection of Bruce Lee's films and documentaries.

Entitled The Bruce Lee Legacy Collection, the anthology will feature The Big BossFist of FuryWay of the Dragon, and the aforementioned Game of Death, as well as documentaries Bruce Lee: The Legend and I am Bruce Lee. There will also be a disc full of special features. The four films will also be transferred on to Blu-Ray for the first time, too, so we can all finally see Bruce Lee in high-definition.

You can pre-order The Bruce Lee Legacy Collection on Amazon here or from Shout! Factory here. It will become available in late summer.

[RH Premiere] Netherfriends: "Good Vibes" (feat. ShowYouSuck and ELEE X)

Netherfriends is kicking up quite a storm this year. Outside of the very ambitious 50 Songs, 50 States project, he has an album called New Chi-t scheduled for June 21st featuring songs from, you guessed it, Chicago musicians. We're lucky to be premiering the latest song from New Chi-t, "Good Vibes on a Sunny Day," featuring ShowYouSuck and ELEE X from Impolite Society.

The video follows Netherfriends' practice of editing classic video footage juxtaposed with the song itself to create a dichotomy between the song and the footage. "Good Vibes" samples The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations," but with a trippy mix. ShowYouSuck and ELEE X trade verses over footage of surfers from the 1966 film, The Endless Summer, followed by a tempo/tonal change halfway through the song, making a creative spin on the characteristic "drops" in most popular music these days.

You can download the song and watch the video below. If you're free on Monday, you can catch Netherfriends live at the Empty Bottle for free. If you're not free on Monday, cancel your plans so you can catch Netherfriends live at the Empty Bottle for free.

[RH Premiere] Weasel Sims: "Ride Out" (feat. Tae Butch) (prod. by MikeJaxx)

MikeJaxx has been keeping extra busy this week (as if he doesn't stay busy already). With his remix of Chance the Rapper's "Juice" and production on the amazingly well-received Grade Aplus track "Nate Robinson" making the rounds the past few days, Jaxx is ending the week on a high note with this new track, "Ride Out" for rapper Weasel Sims (and featuring Tae Butch).

You can check out the song below. I get a feeling we'll be hearing a lot more from Weasel Sims this year...

Jambalaya Fest Austin Changes Venues from The Backyard to Austin Music Hall

Jambalaya Fest, a three date, three city festival in Texas, is featuring a stellar lineup including EarlWolf (Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt's collaboration), Zeds Dead, Big Boi, RL Grime, and G-Eazy. The festival originally featured AraabMUZIK, but he had to back out due to unforeseen circumstances. Bigger news, however, involve a venue change in Austin, TX from The Backyard to Austin Music Hall.

So for Austin readers interested in attended Jambalaya Fest next week, schedule your plans accordingly. The official press release is below. BUY TIX HERE

"Our lineup for Summer 2013 was scheduled to play 3,000 capacity venues, but because Austin Music Hall had a previously confirmed event we looked to make an exception for Austin with The Backyard. However, when the Music Hall became available it made sense for us to make a move to downtown Austin to keep the similar model we've applied in the other markets. We love The Backyard and look to produce an event there soon."
