Alex Wiley: "Creepin" (feat. Freddie Gibbs)

The hype continues growing for Chicago's own Alex Wiley and his debut mixtape, Club Wiley. Our homies at Closed Sessions released this hot new track, "Creepin," just now. Featuring Freddie Gibbs with production by Hippie Sabotage, "Creepin" is a great song to help us bide our time while we await the full mixtape release. Club Wiley is coming out on June 4th, with the official release party taking place on June 6th at Lincoln Hall with ShowYouSuck, Kembe X, Caleb James, St. Millie, Taylor Bennett, and Jean Deaux. Check the track out below.

YP: "Black Sheep"

Chicago rapper YP just released this new track, "Black Sheep." The song, which won't be on the upcoming Restless, is produced by Xcel. YP goes in on the song with a smooth vocal delivery. Be careful, though: the track is infectious and is guaranteed to get stuck in your head for awhile. Listen to the track below.

World War Z PSA Viral Video, Crisis Zero

The film adaptation of Max Brooks' World War Z is shaping up to be a huge blockbuster for Paramount Pictures with a reported $125m-$200m budget. Starring Brad Pitt (Moneyball), the film follows Pitt's character across the United States as he attempts to find a way to stop the zombie outbreak, known colloquially as the titular "World War Z." However, based on previously-released trailers, it seems as if the Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace)-directed film strays away from the book's tone.

Of course, Hollywood never sleeps, as is proven by this latest bit of promotion. A PSA video, entitled Crisis Zero, was recently released to hype the film (and its UK Facebook page) as its June 21st release date approaches. Part of the marketing ploy is to not explicably use the term "zombie," which is an interesting path to take, considering the rampant hype and excitement for anything zombie-related. You can watch Crisis Zero below.

Manny P: "Crumbled" (prod. by Savier)

One of my favorite songs of last fall was "Runaway" by Chandler London and Blakkass Westley featuring Cadillac Duke. The beat, produced by Savier of Animuse/TBO fame, was haunting and atmospheric that was able to complement each rapper's vastly different rap styles. Savier has some production chops, and thankfully, we got some new work from him.

Making his debut is Manny P, preparing the world for his upcoming EP with this track, "Crumbled," with production by the aforementioned Savier. Check it out below and let us know what you think!

Preparing to release his upcoming EP, Manny P unleashes "Crumbled." Aiming to ruffle a few feathers along the way. Working side by side Animuse's own producer, Savier.

PHNM: "This Is It (Original Mix)"

If you've ever been out to a club in Chicago, chances are you've heard PHNM spin. As the Resident DJ at spots like The Underground, Debonair, Sub 51, and Sound Bar, PHNM's been building up quite the following. His latest mix, "This Is It," is a trippy trap track that'd tempt terrorists to twerk. Get some headphones, kick that computer chair aside, and let loose.

Be sure to follow PHNM on his DJ Facebook page and on Twitter.

[Mixtape] SolarFive: "Say No More"

Last week, Pedro debuted SolarFive's single, "No Love," which featured Mick Jenkins and production by OnGaud. The song was a great first look at what SolarFive is capable of. Today, his full project, Say No More, drops on the masses. Featuring production by OnGaud, THEMPeople, Nick Arcade, Smoko Ono, Mojek, The Grimey Grinch, Peter CottonTale, and VP, SolarFive's debut is a gritty look at the Chicago rapper's life and the emotions he went through in 2012. Say No More also includes features by Vic Mensa, Mick Jenkins, Dally Auston, VP, Speedy Calhoun, Peter Cottontale, Angel Davenport, Queen SheCago, Deja K. Taylor, and Sierra Channel Candia. Some personal favorite tracks include "DreamDay," "Misery," and "Elevator Music."  Keep your eyes out for this rapper on the come up. (Also, props for repping Jugrnaut on the cover!)

You can stream and download Say No More below.

I, Solarfive, am a Chicago MC hailing from the SouthSide of Chicago. Say No More is the latest release from Chicago based Rhymer SolarFive. Lollapalooza 2013 Schedule is Out

The schedule for this year's Lollapalooza is live! The popular festival, taking place August 2nd - 4th, has been growing steadily since it settled in Chicago a few years ago. Some highlights from this year's festival include Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, New Order, and Wavves. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of music festivals; they're expensive, always outside and dirty, smell bad, consist of schedule conflicts, and full of drunk and/or high people. But hey, it's all for the love of music, right?

You can check out the Lollapalooza 2013 Schedule in a PDF provided by the Chicago Tribune.

Solange: "Looks Good With Trouble" (feat. Kendrick Lamar)

The remix of Solange's "Looks Good With Trouble" featuring Kendrick Lamar just dropped. The song mixes Solange's smoky vocals with Kendrick's smooth delivery. I'll just keep this post short; go check out the song below!
