Lupe Fiasco: "Old School Love" (feat. Ed Sheeran)
Fresh off giving a quick shout-out to Chicago's most popular artists at the moment, Lupe Fiasco returns with a Ed Sheeran-assisted single. The local emcee has just announced a national tour and "Old School Love" serves as a way to promote the show dates (which can been seen here) and also his upcoming album Tetsuo And Youth. Lupe had only released freestyles over popular beats recently, so it's very refreshing to hear him rap on an original record.

[Video] James Blake: "Life ‘Round Here" Remix (Feat. Chance The Rapper)
James Blake and Chance The Rapper have really hit it off since they first met at SXSW last year. So much so, that not only do they allegedly have a handful of tracks together, but they also shot a video for James "Life ‘Round Here" remix featuring Chano in Hertfordshire, England. Upon his return, Chance mentioned Blake being a big Wu Tang fan, perhaps explaining the minimalistic and dark aesthetics of the visuals, which help convey the record into real life as the two friends find themselves riding around the countryside in a low rider. Great execution by director Nabil and an even better record by the duo. We definitely need to hear more material by them in the future!

Girl Talk and Freeway just announced some pretty cool news today as they have teamed up to work on a project entitled Broken Ankles. The collaboration might look a bit experimental at first glance, but both the producer and emcee can really feed off their unique sound without sacrificing their own style. This was proven when they premiered a track off the project in New York and the crowd responded to it with great feedback. The EP will be released this Fall via DatPiff, but in the meantime, you can catch footage of the show below.
