RIP Nate Dogg

Hip Hop has lost another pillar in its foundation with the passing of hook legend Nate Dogg last night. We all have at least one good memory with some song that Nate Dogg appeared on and he will always pop back up in our hearts through his music. While the cause of his death is immediately unknown, Nate Dogg has had a rough medical past few years with multiple strokes on record. While I sort of still wish I could pop on an Eminem song and hear him on a new track one last time, he left enough of a legacy to always give us something dope to bump to whether it be Regulate, 21 Questions, Shake That or whatever else is your personal favorite. Nate Dogg was an artist that seemed to always be able to get the perfect sound to the hook on a song and put countless hits over the top. He is something that a lot of artists are turning into today, or at least trying, and his impact will never be forgotten. Nate Dogg joins an ever growing list of names in the rap world who are leaving us too soon and we can only hope that this trend can finally stop.

RIP Nate Dogg

Danny Brown Signs to Fool's Gold Records

Fool's Gold once again dipped into the diverse by grabbing up Danny Brown to be the newest addition to their team. Now sitting alongside Donnis, Danny Brown gets to take his unique rap style and combine it with Fool's Gold imaginative team and try to put it to the next level. Danny Brown saw a lot of highlights in 2010, where he was stated as being "the most peculiarly infectious voice since Dizzee Rascal," by Pitchfork. He built a huge online fanbase and did songs with such names as Tony Yayo to Das Racist to J Dilla. There is only up for Danny Brown from here so hopefully he can separate himself from all the speculation about Donnis' career with Fool's Gold & make his own. Danny Brown will also be at SXSW so you can check right down below if you want to find out where you can catch this fresh act.

Emilio Rojas- Words I Never Said Freestyle

Hearing someone like Emilio come in and destroy this Lupe Fiasco instrumental makes me wish that Lupe didn't get entranced by Atlantic to make a teeny bop album. Emilio gives us straight gritty rap that invokes the Lupe Fiasco essence of questioning authority and pointing out difficulties that we experience as a world. Scoop Emilio's take on Lupe's Words I Never Said below.

Matt McGhee- The Winning Club (Charlie Sheen)

#WINNING yeah that is what Matt McGhee was definitely thinking once he pressed play on this Dom Kennedy instrumental and started to spit. This young DMV rep knows his way around music, rapping over beats that including Lady GaGa & Willow Smith in the past and has had me felt completely ok with my sexuality after listening to it. The kid isn't afraid to take risks and they pay off big time with his unique and impressive music. The Winning Club is the start onto the journey toward his upcoming projects so look forward to a lot of McGhee in your future. Grab the mp3 right after the jump, Right Click --> Save as to download.

Odd Future Covers Billboard

"Odd Future may just be the future of the music business." That is the statement right below the iconic Odd Future picture on the upcoming issue of Billboard magazine. It is crazy to see the buzz that this group of kids deserves. Going from videos of Earl making a drink of destruction to Tyler'sBastard which mostly all of the new fans will download and appreciate to Yonkers getting 1 mill plus views on youtube in a blink of an eye to going on Jimmy Fallon and doing a show for the TV history books to now filing into their place in music greatness. Tyler has Goblin set for a release with XL soon which will show where these guys are going to go. Be on the watch.

Neako ft. Wiz Khalifa- Flesh

Neako has probably one of my favorite Wiz Khalifa songs/features with Back To The Set and now Flesh jumps right next to it. I don't know what it is about these two but Neako's eye for amazing beats and Wiz's ability to step it up on a Neako feature is gold. If you are a fan of Wiz Khalifa I know you will by no means not like this song if you press play. This is off of Neako's mixtape Loudpack which is available right after the jump.

Trademark Da Skydiver & Young Roddy- 6th Gear

Trademark & Roddy are back once again, the 6th time actually and they go over some legendary instrumentals and make them into Jet Life specialties. They are obviously preparing for an upcoming collabo mixtape which should be dope because these two strike gold a lot when on tracks together. While I did not fall in love with some of their constant releases the ones I do, like this one, are crazy good.
