Chuuwee: "Slow Down"
Chuuwee did it again. The young Sacramento spitter takes a bitter approach towards love with Slow Down and gives all those guys out there who had to deal with a woman something to blast. Ever since I downloaded this song last night I think I have played it easily 10-15 times already and it gets better with each play. Here is a stream right here and you can grab the mp3 right below.
[Video] Tyler The Creator In NYC
Tyler The Creator took over Santos last night in NYC. The kid has a cult following already and he's only 19. He is selling out show after show and of course I have to be at school for both of them so I haven't even gotten the chance to experience the madness. You can check out the video after the jump and see the craziness for yourselves... This performance comes a day before Tyler is set to hit the stage at the Jimmy Fallon show, and less than a week after releasing the viral video smash, "Yonkers", and announcing a debut album via XL Recordings.
[Video] Hoodie Allen: "You Are Not A Robot"
Hoodie Allen is coming off of the overwhelming success that he got after releasing his latest mixtape Pep Rally which You Are Not A Robot being arguably my favorite and possibly the best track off of it. He turns the Marina & The Diamonds song into a bass infused rap hit that gives off a Chiddy Bang-esque vibe but we all know its Hoodie Allen. The guy definitely has a lot of tricks & treats in store for all of his fans who got all of the credit for helping Hoodie bang out his first ever music video. The video is right below the jump so enjoy.
[Video/MP3] ESSO: "Big Bed" (Prod. Woody)
ESSO is teaming up with Woody for a collaborative EP titled Californication which should be hands down a thriller. Also it is obviously Valentines Day which I think I have probably written 400 times today so Big Bed is dedicated for all of the women out there. After the jump you can not only watch the video which is directed by Puma but you can also grab the mp3 and rock out with ESSO & Woody which, if going according to them, will be something you will be saying for a while, especially when their EP drops.
[Mixtape] Torae: "Heart Failure"
With Valentines Day today, Torae has released his mixtape Heart Failure to brighten up those without valentines with some much needed good music. Heart Failure will also be on iTunes tomorrow so make sure you support Torae. You can check out the tracklisting as well as the download link right after the jump.
[Video] Thisis50 Interviews Kendrick Lamar
Thisis50.com recently got the chance to speak to clearly one of the most popular new artists, Kendrick Lamar. The kids plate has been full since Day 1 of him getting a little exposure and he hasn't been looking back. Kendrick talks about the difference between East & West Coast music, growing up in Compton, how he got discovered, working closely with Dr. Dre and a lot lot more. Check the video to see what else Kendrick Lamar had to talk about and to see the kid freestyle and show what got him this far. You can check the interview right after the jump.
J. Nolan- Round
J. Nolan is a young spitter which I have familiarized myself with over the past year. He constantly drops off dope music and Round is just another extension of that. He goes with a jazz beat which accompanies J. Nolan's lyrics to perfection. Round is the first single off of J. Nolan's upcoming project The Loose Files which is set to drop on February 22nd. You can stream it right here and grab the mp3 right below.
TiRon- Go Ronnie (Trade Voorhees Remix)
Now Trade Voorhees is a superhuman producer/rapper/everything out of Las Vegas and when I saw that he recently remixed a track from TiRon's MSTRD I knew I had to press play immediately. I know that TiRon recently released the acapellas to MSTRD and held a contest to remix and if I had any say this one would probably be #1. Everything Trade Voorhees touches turns into gold and this one is definitely gold mustard.
