Carlton Banks- Irish Twins II (It's The MOB)

Carlton Banks was an artist that first popped onto my radar because of his affiliation with Fly High's other member, Illecism. I pressed play on his #MM and boy was I pleased. After his projects came out I began to see him more and more on features and he held his own on each and everyone. Irish Twins II (It's The MOB) was the first solo song that I heard from Carlton Banks in a while and my was it worth the wait. He got Rome on the production and absolutely murders this song. I think this has been the most played song for me in the past week, playing this and then CRS's song right after.

You can get the song right below.

Kid Cudi: "Erase Me" Video ft. Kanye West

Kid Cudi teams up with Kanye West and two unlikely members of his band, McLovin and Clark Duke (Sex Drive, Hot Tub Time Machine) to create the video for Erase Me. He has stated before and this song obviously expresses Kid Cudi's love for music other than rap and his want to create more of this music. He transforms into a Jimi Hendrix of sorts for this video and creates a sort of modernized 60's movement throughout. It is creative and interesting to watch but Erase Me isn't one of my favorite songs so I wasn't so appealed.

Video: Illecism- Natomas Park

Illecism comes through with DAG on Illecism's first and DAG's second music video. Natomas Park is off of Illecism's most recent EP The Sun Don't Chill and making a video for this track was almost necessary. The entire Fly High crew continues to get more and more appreciation for their music and it was only a matter of time until more ears fell on them. Natomas Park is a song that helps to describe Illecism's hometown which is a huge part of him as well as the music he puts out.

J. Cole ft. Omen & Fashawn: "Relaxation"

J. Cole teams up with Chicago's own Omen along with fellow freshman Fashawn on this track Relaxation. He played this on Ustream a little while ago and a rip from that was floating around but as usual, the CDQ has come through for us. I have to say that it is safe to say that J. Cole is one of the only artists in a while that I can say has never had a bad verse. You can get the track down below.

J. Ferb: "Gift From God"

Here is a new track from J. Ferb. If you haven't heard of the man he is a Memphis native who has made his way up to the DMV and represents both with finesse and grace. He brings the southern feel with the lyrics I know you will want to hear. I will put the personal stamp that if you listen to this song you sure as hell will not be disappointed in anyway shape or form. He has an upcoming EP Point Of No Return which right now has a November date. You can catch this J. Ferb track on the mixtape I am putting together as well as another treat from J. Ferb as well as a lineup of dope artist after dope artist.

You can get your Gift From God right below.

Kanye West ft. Kid Cudi, Lloyd Banks, Pusha T, Ryan Leslie & John Legend: "Christian Dior Denim Flow"

In G.O.O.D. spirits Kanye West decided to spite the hackers who released his last two songs and release a new G.O.O.D Friday song. Even though it is Saturday I don't think anyone will complain at all because he wasn't even going to put one out. It features Cudi on the hook as well as him getting a verse, some spitting from Ryan Leslie, Lloyd Banks, Pusha T & John Legend. Pusha T's verse might be the best on the song as he puts in a little VMA's references and really shows his stuff. You can download right below.

Obie Iyoha: "Purple Hearts"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here we go. Over at my other site we are getting closer and closer to Summer Daze which is our second blog mixtape and it is finally shaping up. When it is all finished you will definitely see it up here and it will be a great collection of music for everyone to listen to. Today I bring you a special leak. The reasons why I do these mixtapes is to pair people whose names you might have heard before and know their music with others that only need an ear. Obie Iyoha is one of them. I got an email that was simple and straight to the point and I gave it a listen and immediately responded. That is rare of me to fall that in love with a song but I did with Purple Hearts. I emailed back saying I must include this on Summer Daze and well now here it is. This might be one of my favorites from the mixtape already and I haven't even got all the songs yet, scary. The kid has some serious serious talent so check it. You know I wouldn't put this much time into anything less then greatness.

You can get the track right below.
