Ludacris ft. Big K.R.I.T.: "I'm On Fire"

Dang, it is great to see Big K.R.I.T. popping up everywhere these days. It is also see Ludacris get on some smooth sounding southern sweetness with K.R.I.T. and not some Battle Of The Sexes wackness. These two linked up once in the past on the remix to K.R.I.T.'s track "Country Shit" which also included Bun B. "I'm On Fire" is great and gives me some hope on how this upcoming Ludacris mixtape is going to turn out.

[Mixtape] IsaiahThe3rd: "Death Of The 3rd"

Dang. IsaiahThe3rd has one crazy career in music this far. I remember when I first got into blogging I ran into this guys music. He took a break for a little while but music was always in his heart and to see him coming back and coming back this strong is great. The New York resider brings soul and a story to each and every beat he steps on and gives hip hop lovers something to love. "Death Of The 3rd" is the beginning of the rebirth of Isaiah and there will be no stopping this kid now. He teamed up with the good folks at DJBooth on this one and has track after track of awesome. In case you want a little sample I threw up his track with fellow NY resider D. Julien a little while ago and I have also included a video which he recently did for one of his past songs below.

Hovat: "Farmers Fair"

Now I would like to pleasantly introduce you readers to Hovat. Hovat is out of Pennsylvania and has slowly been climbing up the ranks of personal favorites. Get we have that inbred connection with the color of our skin but his rhymes are refreshing. Think Mac Miller without the spoonfuls of corn. This time he goes over some Blu production and out of everything I have heard from him, Blu's production fits him in a scary way. Also he throws in a Chuck Testa reference...I'm sold. He sounds amazing over this beat and it has been really excited to hear his new stuff. Hovat is working on a new project and is aiming to release another new track in "Catfish" sometime in the near future. So if you like what you hear below be sure to be on the lookout for "Catfish."

[Video] Dave Raps: "Cognac Shades"

I remember when Dave Raps did his #DaveDaze series where he was releasing a track a day and to be honest it was too much to digest all at once. I slowly went back through the songs every once in a while to grow accustomed and before I knew it the video for "Cognac Shades" was at my doorstep. He goes over the "Trust Issues" beat and turns it into an anthem for those up higher then the rest of us. You can rock with the visuals as well as download the track right below.

[Video] Buddy: "Awesome Awesome"

If you aren't up on Buddy yet you are surely missing out. The new Star Track signee debut's his Neptunes backing with some serious swag as "Awesome Awesome" is surely one of my favorite tracks since its release. The combination of Buddy's flow and Neptunes beats are perfection and it gives that sensation through my mind, which is the same whenever I listen to Clipse. Hopefully Neptunes and Buddy start cranking out a ton of tunes because this kid from Compton is ready to take over. The video is right down below.

[Video] J. Good: "Rolling Stone"

J. Good always provides me with music that seems to fit perfectly with the mood I'm in whenever it drops. I don't know what kind of mind control this guy has but I am not complaining. I guess it also comes with the territory of being a part of TUS with Chuuwee. The two of these guys are like Talib & Mos Def. When they are together it's magic and when they are apart it's magic. There really must be something in the water out in Sacramento. Check out the little video for "Rolling Stone" right below. Track is produced by Nefarious and some dope clothing choice from MMVIII on J. Good's part.

Carmine: "All's Good"

Around a week or so ago I brought you the first track that I had heard from Carmine which featured Rajeev with "Finish Line." It was then that Carmine hit me up to pass along his most recent project "All's Good." After hearing "Finish Line" I knew I had to at least give the tape a bump and I was pleasantly surprised. The project was filled with some real mellow music that was really easy to vibe with and chill out to. Right below is a link where you can stream the whole project, p.s. track #10 is my favorite.
