Michael Uzowuru: "Paisley Palm Trees" Beat Tape

I have been a follower of Uzowuru for a little while. I remember getting his early beat tapes in my emails and watching him go from there. He is now onto much greener pastures, recently working with Domo Genesis & Vince Staples which gives a little hint on to where he may be working next. For now he decided to drop off another beat tape to us with Paisley Palm Trees which will leave rappers everywhere running to his doorstep. The California kid is one of the most humble artists I have met to this day which is mind boggling with the amazingness that comes out whenever he creates something. Paisley Palm Trees will exceed any expectations you might have and greatness doesn't even come close to describing Uzowuru's talent. But that humbleness is exactly what makes Michael Uzowuru's music that much better. You can feel the passion in every second of every song and even if you have never heard what the kid can do you can feel something about the music from the first second you press play. Grab Uzowuru's Paisley Palm Trees right below and mellow out for a bit.

Chuuwee: "CheZ Chit"

Chuuwee is back at it again. He is gearing up for his upcoming Be Cool project which is slated to drop this month and after hearing "CheZ Chit" I hands down know that Be Cool will be crack sauce. This might be my favorite Chuuwee song to date and it slaps. Ever since I came across this bad boy I haven't stopped playing it to the point that I have been blasting my iPod through stores spreading the love. You know you won't regret snatching this song so how about you go after the jump already.

Illecism- "Spinning Backfist"

It has been a little while since we were blessed with some magic from Sacramento's own Illecism but with the word that he will be dropping a new project this month titled Bloodsport he has graced us with this cut, Spinning Backfist. With it being the first leak off of the upcoming project of course Illy had to bring it, not like he ever doesn't but Spinning Backfist does just that to your mind as you listen to this banger. I will continue with my everlasting sentiment that Illecism is one of the best rappers I have come across. Just press play and I'm sure you'll be able to see where this comes from. It is only a matter of time until Illecism is on your iPod so why not start now.

Kanye West: "Mama's Boyfriend"

So it looks like this is the final version of the long awaited and Facebook freestyled "Mama's Boyfriend". With Watch The Throne sitting somewhere? And MBDTF slowly getting older and older we are sitting in a little bit of a break from Kanye so it figured that we would suddenly be surprised with something. We all know the connection of Kanye with his mother so obviously this song would seem to eventually released and well here it is. I can see why it wasn't included into MBDTF but is a solid track nonetheless. Go play this one for your mom to make up for that mothers day gift you forgot to give. Grab the track right below.

Rickie Jacobs has been doing this a long time and I have been rocking to each and every song along the way and it is hard to be disappointed by Sir Rickie. Illecism: "End Of Daze"

Sacramento's own Illecism is back at it once again and this time with his new song "End Of Daze." For those who aren't wise Illecism is the best rapper that you have never listened to yet if you haven't and if you have then you will be able to agree with my statement. Illecism is making his way to Las Vegas with Trade Voorhees and in NY later on during the month. Illecism comes at us with a ton of political sentiments in this song but is able, as always, to keep it an amazing song while doing so. Illecism is a story teller, simple as that and whenever you pop on one of his songs there is no way that you cannot enjoy what is going on. I'll stop riding him and let you just simply decide for yourself. "End Of Daze" is available to you right below.

MellowHype Announce Blackenedwhite Release

After the positive response we all saw after Tyler The Creator's first street release gained him a nice number of sales, MellowHype is next up with the re-issue and re-worked version of their latest project Blackenedwhite. Blackenedwhite was first released in the fall of 2010 but they have gone back, re-worked some tracks, added a few new ones and are ready to re-issue this project to the masses and see how well the OddFuture following is. I think something that a lot of people missed on Tyler's Goblin was its impressive production value which hopefully will be something that more people are able to pay attention to with MellowHype. I feel that when Hodgy and LeftBrain collaborate it doesn't have the overwhelming eye of "Oh this is Tyler" and people always focusing on how raunchy the lyrics are but to jamming to the songs. I know from word of mouth most people's favorite tracks on Goblin were those which featured Hodgy and I don't think that is a coincidence. It is scary how much all talent all of Odd Future really has. I know there are a ton of people out there who are saying how can you like these kids with what they are doing or they haven't proved anything, blah blah blah, but what most of you don't feel like paying attention to is the quality of music that each member puts out and what they are able to do in such a short period of time.

MellowHype should turn some heads when Blackenedwhite hits shelves July 12th via Fat Possum Records. If you want to check out some new material from MellowHype you can check out their live performance of "64" featuring Bass Drum of Death which will appear on the re-issue.
