ScHoolboy Q: "Funkmaster Flex Freestyle"
So ScHoolboy Q got announced as an XXL Freshman today, and I think that is great - besides the fact I would consider him a solid junior, waiting to make a commitment to bring him the next level. Either way, Q has been on fire as of late, and today he stopped through Funk Flex's show and gave him some crucial Q bars, over Redman's ‘Tonights The Night’. Ayeeee. Stream below

Hudson Mohawke: "Pleasure"
Hudson Mohawke definitely erupted in 2012, bringing his futuristic production talent to the attention of one, Kanye West. After announcing a deal with G.O.O.D, HudMo has kept relatively quiet, until today's drop of the unreleased single “Pleasure”. The track was released exsclusively on vinyl in 2011, and today it gets some Soundcloud shine for full playback ability. Definitely an exciting track for the rising producer, who likely will be making some G.O.O.D noise this summer.
[Video] Kid Cudi Performs 'Immortal' on Jimmy Kimmel
Yesterday Kid Cudi announced his Indicud tracklist, while also leaking the official LP artwork. The April 23rd, 18-track LP will see features from Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, King Chip, Michael Bolton, and more. Definitely making his 3rd solo LP one of the most acclaimed for the dedicated fans, that will take in most anything he releases. Last night Cudder & Chip performed on Jimmy Kimmel and below we have footage of Scott performing "Immortal". Stream below.

[LP] Blu: York
Blu is definitely one of the industry's wildcards, and today his new LP York, which has been delayed for years, has finally arrived. The 14-track LP, which was formerly known as NoYork, is now available for digital purchase, limited edition vinyl order and a stream via the homies at DJBooth. With guests like Pac Div, J*Davey, U-God, Sa-Ra and production from Exile, Flying Lotus, Madlib, Shafiq Husayn and more, this LP is definitely one to grab. Blu may be one of the oddest emcees around, but his music definitely speaks for itself. Stream and/or purchase below.

J-Illa: "Famous" Feat. Issa
I was recently put on to local rising emcee, J-Illa, by the homie DJ Moondawg, who is presenting Illa's upcoming Golden Voice project which is due March 30th. The radio friendly single see's J-Illa go in depth about the life we all would like to lead, and one he is already seeking. Definitely some potential here, though I'm not sure how many more foreign car statements I can tolerate without having one myself lol.
[EP] Tuxedo: Tuxedo
I deserve a late pass here. Even though I heard this damn good, funky, exposition a week or so ago the ambiguity surrounding who this band was through me off. Now that I can name Jake One & Mayer Hawthorne as the players behind the well-groomed, groovy crew, Tuxedo, I feel much better. Stream the 3 track FreEP below. Definitely a style I think Jake & Chance could collab on again.
