Disclosure Performing Live at Stubbs in Austin, TX 1/31/14 by Virgil Solis

[RH Photos] Disclosure and Vic Mensa in Austin (1/31/14)

Last Friday, the UK producer/DJ duo Disclosure took over Stubbs' outside venue to a a sold-out crowd. You couldn't ask for a better night for an outside concert. As soon as I walked in, Samo Sound Boy was already halfway trough his set, getting the crowd ready for SaveMoney's Vic Mensa. The rapper joined Disclosure on a handful of tour dates, with Austin being his last stop of the tour. Producer/DJ Stefan Ponce kept the crowd going before Vic stormed the stage, performing a set filled with songs from his latest project, INNANETAPE. Fans in the front row sang back lyrics to Vic as he moved around the whole stage. A short break to get things ready for Disclosure to hit the stage. ONce they did the crowd went wild. The duo went through many of their more popular songs from their last critically-acclaimed project, Settle.  Austin loved Disclosure and did not want them to stop playing. Below are some shots I took of the show.

[Songs of The Day] 1/24/13 (Feat. G-Eazy, Kool Keith, Grizzly Bear, 9th Wonder and more)

For today's songs of the week we have a smattering of what's what around the Internet today. Kool Keith came out of a deep dark slumber to release the eclectic, "Strip Club Husband" which kind of plays out exactly as you'd expect it to. Chicago and North Carolina link up as BJ The Chicago Kid, Add-2 and 9th Wonder flex on Add's addition to JAMLA with "15 Minutes". Along with those, we have fellow Chicago native Nylo teaming up with G-Eazy and a remix of Grizzly Bear's "Will Calls" by Baths. Check it all out below and stay up to date with the latest release below.

Polaroid Socialmatic Camera to Officially Launch at CES 2014

With CES 2014 well on its way in Las Vegas, one product that many people have been anticipating is Polaroid's Socialmatic Camera AKA the Instagram camera. It will officially launch this week at CES, so that means we can see it for sale within the next month or two. ADR Studio are the geniuses behind the camera. Housing a 14 megapixel digital camera (front and back), the camera can also print a 2x3 full color photo thanks to ZINK Zero (the guys behind the ink printing technology). Good news for us photo nerds who can't wait to get their hands on this guy. Be sure to check out this overview video from ADR Studio about the camera, as well.

Behind The Scene Photos of Emily Ratajkowski at Terry Richardson's Studio

A couple months ago, we posted Terry Richardson's shoot with Emily Ratajkowski for GQ Magazine. "Emrata" pretty much took over last year with her role in Robin Thicke's smash hit "Blurred Lines;" Em was the star of the show, and it catapulted her to the main stage. At that point, it was hard to turn a magazine page or scroll a blog without see her gorgeous assets (she loves being naked and with good reason). Yesterday, Terry released some BTS photos of the shoot via his personal site. The photos are what we come to expect from Terry and Emily - glasses: check; flannel: check; more than half-naked bombshell: check.

[Mixtape] Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip: "The Abstract and the Dragon"

Pretty much anyone who grew up in the '90s (actually who doesn't know this song) knows A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario" featuring Busta Rhymes. It was one of the biggest hits to come out of the Native Tongues collective, and one of those songs that, no matter where you are, you have to sing along with Bust's line "RRRRAOWR, RRRRAOW, like a dungeon dragon". It's actually very interesting that Busta and Tip haven't done a project together before this.

As the trailer to the project showed us, these two icons came up together and are the bestests of friends. Their chemistry is undeniable and I really hope we get to see them tour together next year. Last week, MTV released Busta's "Thank You" track featuring Yeezus and Weezy that will be on Busta's E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2. Earlier this week, we got visuals for the track, and last night, the interwebs was treated to the full mixtape, The Abstract and the Dragon. Filled with the Abstract's production and classics, this is a must download for any head or any new music lover that hasn't heard some any of these classics. You can download and stream the mixtape below.
