I didn’t think I would get too excited to hear something new from the Beastie Boys… but I was wrong, and am pretty amped up hearing “Make Some Noise”. It’s the first real piece of new music in a long time, as most people reading this know about everything that’s been happening with their new album, The Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, dropping May 3rd. One of the best qualities that the Beastie Boys possess, and ultimately why they have so much success, is their ability to try something new and simultaneously not alienate any fans. They’ve built a fan base that really goes where ever they go, and I’m sure this song will be very well received by their fans. No, it’s not the most complicated, or dense, but it’s just great Beastie Boys and it is below.
