Beats By Dre are on a roll. The headphone line created by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine in 2006 is only getting bigger in 2011. The brand is set to open up a store in NYC in the coming months, and according to T3.com, a UK location maybe next. Beats By Dre also recently announced new headphones with David Guetta, as well as wireless and bluetooth headphones.
Earlier this summer I got a pair of the Beats By Dre PROs by Monster. I can easily say they are the best headphones I’ve ever owned. I go through headphones pretty quick, and they take a beating. I’ve found these headphones to be really durable. The earphones fold up, and the chord disconnect, making them easy to travel with and further leading to a long life.
DJing daily either at my house or in a club, my ears take a big beating. These are also really comfortable. My ears don’t throb after a couple hours of djing, and again, the flexibility of the earpiece makes them easy to move around during a set where I like to take my headphones on and off during mixing. If you can afford a pair of Beats By Dre, I would seriously pick them up. The detail in the sound, the comfort, and the durability set these a part from the rest.
