We had the chance to interview Talib Kweli last night before his Chicago show party with Rhymefest at The Shrine (we also had a great discussion with Michael Kolar and Rhymefest prior to the party, but that’s neither here nor there). Anyway, Kweli talked to us about the place he’s at in his career in regards to picking his projects, and creating music, as well as getting used to performing with Hi-Tek again, and much more. Kweli also told us about the idea behind his blog, yearoftheblacksmith. I checked it out today and found this behind the scenes video with Little Brother, Black Milk, Frank N’ Dank and Kweli. It was shot by his Idle Warship drummer, Daru Jones, while at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Check out the video below.
