“Made a few adjustments, I want to discuss it.”
During my in-depth interview with Brother Ali, he talked about his forthcoming album, Mourning In America And Dreaming In Color. The album, which is now slated for an August 21st release via Rhymesayers, was made after one Ali’s toughest years and then morphed after one his most revitalizing. While he said that the album is heavily based in modern times and current events, he did use some records to speak on his trying times at home and on the road that included the death of Ali’s father, marriage issues, as well as a wonderful trip to Mecca and reconnecting with his family. Today Ali shared such a biographical song in “Stop The Press” in which he fully opens up to his fans and listeners. The song is produced by Jake One, and ends with Ali more confident in his career than ever. You can check out the song via the Rhymesayers soundcloud page, where you can also pre-order Ali’s Mouring In America And Dreaming In Color.
