There are certain emcees that just take command of a record. When they put their vocals over music, they really put their vocals over music. Rhymefest is one of those artists. I’d say another is Bun B. His voice is powerful and always comes through with clarity. On his latest cut, “Turn It Up”, Bun teams up with Baltimore’s Aaron LaCrate for his forthcoming compilation. LaCrate keeps the production clean and smooth, he doesn’t try to do too much, giving Bun ample room to maneuver, and it sounds fresh.
