I love when you hear an artist for the first time and you immediately feel like you know this artist, like you’ve been listening to them for years. It usually happens when there’s a new take on a familiar sound. That’s what happened when I heard Carlito for the first time. The south side rapper just dropped the second installation of his monthly series Lito 12 of 12 called “Zoo” where he talkes about his struggles trying to make it in life as a young black man and as an aspiring rapper. The beat is classic, and his delivery is both modern and nostalgic. Check it out below.
