CyHi Da Prynce shut down Digital Freshness at Beauty Bar on 11/20/10. The appearance marked CyHi’s first in Chicago, and the emcee took the stage to perform “So Appalled”, “Hero”, “Living Wonderful” as well as “Fast Lane”. DJs Metrognome, VIPJ, RTC, Hollywood Holt and Vic Lloyd also did their thing. Check out Peter Parker Lewis’ pics after the jump.
I want to thank everyone that helped out and came out to our show at Do Division Fest, DJ RTC & Friends. We had a great time putting it on, and for those of you there, we hope you had a great time watching it. I hope all the artists enjoyed performing…I definitely enjoyed DJing for so many talented emcees. If you were there, then you already know. If you were not there and you’re reading this, then you either live out of town, had to work, couldn’t make it, or you’re just a hater. Regardless, we got you covered with Virgil Solis’ pics featuring my friends, Mike 100’s, Phil G, Really Doe, Mick Luter, Mikkey Halsted, Mic Terror, Rhymefest, The Primeridian, GLC, and more…I only got one pic though, so I put it at the top…how do you like them apples…Anyway, check out the pics below.
RubyHornet has linked up with photographer Mireya Acierto, a very accomplished photographer that has documented a large portion of Chicago Hip Hop over the last several years. Intended to celebrate both her work, as well as Chicago’s Hip Hop achievements, we present “Chicago The Photo Album Photo Album”, a look at some of her most notable shots and the stories behind them. We kick off the series with several pics of Lupe Fiasco circa 2006-2007. Check them out below, and look for the next edition coming soon.
