Film still of Michael Fassbender in Steve Jobs

Watch Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs in New Trailer

[youtube id="aEr6K1bwIVs"]

Aaron Sorkin has made quite the name for himself in recent years thanks to the success of The Social NetworkMoneyball, and The Newsroom, and can be characterized by his punchy dialogue. Danny Boyle has been a bit more quiet recently, but is known for his stylistic aesthetic in films like Trainspotting28 Days Later127 Hours, and Slumdog Millionaire. The combination of both Sorkin and Boyle's styles comes together in the upcoming Steve Jobs, a biopic on the Apple magnate that focuses on three of his product launches, culminating with 1998's iMac release.

Michael Fassbender (FrankX-Men: Days of Future Past) portrays Steve Jobs alongside a star-studded cast that includes Seth Rogen (The Interview) as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), and Jeff Daniels (The MartianThe Newsroom) as former Apple CEO John Sculley. While there are similarities to the Ashton Kutcher-led Jobs, the critical reception for that film has been terrible, with those portrayed in the film balking at their portrayals and the film's script.

However, with Boyle and Sorkin at the wheel, Steve Jobs looks to be a bigger, better beast than Jobs, and it has the talent and star power (sorry, Ashton) to be the de facto Steve Jobs biopic. Steve Jobs will be in theaters on October 9th.

Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis in Sleeping with Other People film still

Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis Star in Sleeping With Other People Trailer

[youtube id="RG3Q2ua5izw"]

Alison Brie has been a charming presence on both Community and Mad Men over the years, but finally, it's time for her to break out and cement herself in Hollywood. What better way to do that than by starring in a sex-filled rom-com?

Written and directed by Leslye Headland (About Last Night), Sleeping with Other People stars Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis (SNLHorrible Bosses 2), two sex addicts who've reunited years after their first encounter. As they both face similar problems, the duo decide to keep their relationship platonic despite the intense attraction they feel towards one another. As is often the case, shenanigans and antics arise that will test just how strong their will is.

Sleeping with Other People premiered at Sundance earlier this year, and while I didn't get a chance to catch the film due to scheduling conflicts, it's been on my radar since. Hopefully, general audiences will keep it on theirs when the film hits theaters on September 11th.

Film still of Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone in Creed

Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone Team Up in Trailer for Rocky Sequel, Creed

[youtube id="fCBzWLVQgk8"]

Director Ryan Coogler is reuniting with his Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan for the upcoming Rocky spin-off sequel, Creed, and if this trailer is any indication, we're in for a promising new entry in the Rocky legacy.

Jordan stars as Adonis Creed, son of the late Apollo Creed. Despite never knowing his father, he has the drive of a true fighter coursing through his veins. After relocating to Philadelphia to pursue a boxing career, he reaches out to Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) in hopes his father's famous rival and best friend can train him to be the best boxer he can be.

The duo of Coogler and Jordan showed how amazing they could be in Fruitvale Station, and the tone in this Creed trailer is so incredibly on point. It treats the subject material with reverence, sends a quick nod and shiver to long-time Rocky fans with Rocky's transition as Adonis's trainer, yet holds its focus on Adonis's journey. As I said yesterday about Chiwetel Ejiofor being set for a breakout year, so too is Jordan with both Creed and Fantastic Four set for 2015 releases, ensuring he covers a wide spectrum of films that will get both casual and dedicated film audiences talking about the young actor.

Funny enough, Creed is scheduled to hit theaters on November 25th, 40 years to the day of Rocky's opening scene.

Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza in DBZ: Resurrection F image

Frieza is Back in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' Trailer

[youtube id="5z_nWwKBiRw"]

2015 has been a big year for the Dragon Ball franchise, what with excitement reignited over the DBZ follow-up series, Dragon Ball Super and a new film sequel, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'. While the film has been out in Japan since April, it won't hit American theaters until August. However, to help pass the time for those who prefer English dubs over Japanese dubs, Funimation has released a new trailer for the film.

Resurrection 'F' focuses on Frieza's return following the events of the previous Dragon Ball Z film, Battle of Gods. Frieza, as many may remember as one of the first real threats in the Dragon Ball Z series, is brought back to life after a few of his remaining henchmen wish him back from Shenron and quickly begins training to match Goku's strength. While many anime series have come and gone that have advanced and surpassed the level DBZ bring the shounen genre to, this trailer for Resurrection 'F' shows that series creator Akira Toriyama and his team of animators at Toei Animation have a few tricks up their sleeves - needless to say, Dragon Ball Z has never looked better than in Resurrection 'F'.

Funimation will be holding a limited theatrical run for Resurrection 'F' this August 4th - 12th, so check out the list of participating theaters and get your tickets now!

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman, and Julia Roberts Star in First Secret in Their Eyes Trailer

[youtube id="TD_IlSSFVX4"]

Chiwetel Ejiofor just might be one of my new favorite actors. The Academy Award nominee (for his role in 12 Years a Slave) has received some of Hollywood's highest accolades, but he's not a household name just yet. However, with an amazing performance in August's Z for Zachariah and a role in Matt Damon's The Martian coming out in October, Ejiofor is destined for stardom. Now, with the trailer for his next film, Secret in Their Eyes, now out, Fall 2015 just might be what it takes to propel Ejiofor to the next level.

Written and directed by Billy Ray (Captain PhillipsThe Hunger Games), Secret in Their Eyes is about a tight-knit FBI duo Ray (Ejiofor) and Jess (Julia Roberts) and their supervisor, District Attorney Claire (Nicole Kidman) who are assigned to a murder that ends up with Jess's daughter as the victim. Thirteen years later, Ray stumbles upon a lead that can finally close the case and find the murderer. However, the secret that's kept the mystery open for so long might have irreversible effects on the trio.

Secret in Their Eyes is like an old school Hollywood drama/thriller that I haven't seen since Gone Girl, which should be a good change of pace from the typical superhero films and sex comedies. Secret in Their Eyes is out in theaters on October 23, 2015.

Remember Chris Farley in Trailer for I Am Chris Farley

[youtube id="aofacg_Gy0E"]

Chris Farley is known as one of the funniest, most beloved comedians of our time. Since his death in 1997, so many of his clips and films still circulate on a continual basis; It's truly a wonder as to how it's taken this long for a full featured documentary to be made. But at last, I Am Chris Farley brings together variety of home videos from his childhood to early career footage, to some infamous SNL clips, along with interviews from actors David Spade, Christina Applegate, Dan Aykroyd, Lorne Michaels, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon, and many more to reflect on the comedian’s life and legacy from his road from the Midwest to Hollywood.

Opening in theaters on July 31st, 2015, the first trailer brings heartfelt to hilarious emotions. I Am Chris Farley will also be available on VOD, digital download, and DVD on August 11, 2015.

Amy Winehouse Documentary

Watch a Young Amy Winehouse Sing Happy Birthday

After receiving rave reviews in May at the Cannes Film Festival, Amy remains one of the most highly anticipated films of 2015. Directed by Asif Kapadia, the film is featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews with her closest friends, ex-lovers, and collaborators, illuminating the Grammy winner’s early struggles with depression and bulimia en route to her surge as an artist.

However, Winehouse's father and former boyfriend have come out with much protest, issuing a statement claiming Amy “is both misleading and contains some basic untruths.” In response to this, the filmmakers have maintained cooperation of the Winehouse estate and confirmed to have "conducted in the region of 100 interviews with people that knew Amy Winehouse; friends, family, former partners and members of the music industry that worked with her." The film is said to be based off of these interviews.

Are there really "untruths" in the film, or was there more to Amy Winehouse than what her family and former boyfriend knew? Regardless, the controversy is adding both mystery and hype for the documentary's much anticipated release. For now, enjoy this special clip featuring the songstress singing "Happy Birthday" as a young 14-year-old. Amy will be in LA and NY theaters on July 3rd with a national release on July 10th.
